Nestled on the serene Mississippi Gulf Coast, Heron Hammock offers a cozy waterfront retreat. Enjoy stunning sunsets over the bayou from our private porch, deck, or dock. Perfect for nature lovers and those seeking peace by the water. Fish off of our dock or bring your boat and jet skis or kayaks. There is a boat launch 1 block away with bait, tackle, fuel, etc. Also located within walking distance is a rocking restaurant that has live bands Fri-Sun called The Bayou Tiki Bar and Grill. We have a custom built beautiful 3 bedroom split bedroom layout. Primary bedroom with king bed, second and third bedrooms with a king and queen bed, as well as a queen sleeper sofa in the front room (bar room), and 2 additional twin floor mattresses available. Those mattresses would be best used by children. There is also a baby crib in the primary bedroom.
You will love the covered back balcony. Great views of the Bayou and the 8-person round table has its own firepit for chilly nights.
You will also love the built-in Barnacle Bar where you will find the queen sofa bed.
The house has stunning woodwork finishes and beautiful artwork done by the renowned Phyllis Shipley.
The fenced backyard has a tiki hut with a gas grill and a huge wooden table with space for about 18 guests. There is also a covered area with a table and chairs.
Bring your boat and fishing gear. The boat launch is just a block from the house, and we have a dock to tie up to.
We have a dehumidifier that keeps the house more comfortable on those muggy summer days. We leave it running year-round and it drains out to the driveway. You may turn it off during your stay as it can be a little noisy!
Our home is well stocked for cooking at home. Please only use the griddle for pancakes, eggs, etc.... Don't use it to grill steaks, fish, bacon, or other meats. It's a challenge to clean out the grease drip pans and we have a gas grill outside at the tiki hut. Thanks!
The home has a large under-home garage that can accommodate 6 vehicles – remotes for left/right garage doors are available, but please remember to leave them when you check out to avoid replacement fees.
