The Space
Experience the charm of early Austin in our enchanting hacienda nestled on 1.5 acres in Sunset Valley. The Heyday transports you to a bygone era when Austin's skyline was defined by the Capitol and live music reverberated through every street. Surrounded by an eclectic, artsy community, the journey to our abode begins with a glimpse of a whimsical metal zebra peeking over the neighbor's fence, welcoming you down a quaint dirt drive.
Pass through the ranch gate, and let nostalgia wash over you as you find yourself in a serene sanctuary shaded by 450-year-old oak trees. The Heyday may exude old-world charm but fear not, both the Casa and Casita have undergone modern renovations, boasting contemporary amenities and stylish southwestern decor that perfectly complements the vintage vibe of this ranch-style estate.
The Casa (main house) has a glorious sitting room with comfortable seating surrounding a fireplace and a chess table. The grand kitchen is fully equipped, and thanks to the convenience of the dishwasher, you can get back to spending time with your vacation crew after enjoying a home-cooked meal. The dining table can seat 6, and it can also serve as a laptop-friendly workspace if needed. There are 3 beautiful bedrooms, 1 king suite and 2 queen all adorned with lovely linens and plush pillows. The home also features a washer and dryer if you need to refresh your clothes, towels or linens.
The Casita (detached studio) is absolutely adorable and nicely equipped with a kitchen, dining table, Smart TV, 2 single beds (pull-out Trundle) and a full bath.
When you aren't out and about, unwind in style and make a splash in our inviting above-ground pool during the summer season (Above ground pool available from May to October). The expansive yard offers an outdoor sitting area with cushioned sofas, a fire bowl surrounded by chairs, a picnic table, and adult swings that provide the perfect spaces for leisurely outdoor activities creating lasting memories with friends and family.
Traveling with your furry friend? We allow 2 dogs as long as their combined weight is no more than 60 lbs. (Please let us know at booking to get authorization. Sorry, no puppies or cats.)

Other things to note
We provide some bath essentials like soap, shampoo, conditioner, body gel, toilet paper, and some garbage bags. Please note that these are not replenished during your stay.
Daily house cleaning is not available however, if you would like a mid-stay cleaning, one can be arranged for a fee. Please let us know in advance.
Guests will need to sign a Rental Agreement upon booking confirmation and/or upon arrival.
A security deposit may be required prior to arrival or at check-in, subject to the booking platform used to make the reservation. This fee is charged as a credit card transaction and refunded after check-out, provided all terms are met.
We kindly ask all guests to abide by these HOUSE RULES:
- Travelers must be at least 21 years old or older to book.
- No smoking of any kind (tobacco, cannabis, etc.) inside the home, and the use of any recreational drugs on the premises is strictly prohibited. Failure to comply will incur a $300 penalty.
- No parties, events, or illegal activities are permitted, and no excessive noise, especially between 10 pm and 7 am, will be tolerated. Please respect the neighbors.
- No more guests than those listed in your reservation are allowed.
- Renters agree to cover any charge related to damages that occurred during their stay or extra-cleaning charges if needed after their stay.
- Renters may be required to provide a government ID on check-in day or during their stay when identity verification is necessary.
- Pet-friendly with prior authorization at booking, a signed pet agreement and a pet fee of $25 per night. Dogs only, sorry, no puppies or cats. Two dogs max with a combined weight of 60 lbs.
