Welcome to Quiet Cove, a beautiful new custom built home located on Lake James. This 5 bedroom 4.5 bathroom home offers the perfect spot for a family vacation or a work retreat. With direct access to Lake James, and your own dock, feel free to rent a pontoon and take advantage of Lake James - which has been voted the cleanest lake in North Carolina! On the deck, you can enjoy the views or relax in the hot tub with your favorite drink!

DISCLAIMER: NO parties or events allowed. Quiet hours are until 10PM. This property is inside a residential neighborhood. No street parking as HOA are super strict. Any violations of the above, you will be fined.
The home has tons of living space with 5 bedrooms, 4.5 baths, an open concept custom kitchen, dining and living, a large back deck with propane grill, TV, and outdoor patio, and a downstairs hangout open area! Sleeps 16. There is a hot tub outside with a bluetooth speaker and a wood burning fire pit! Sunbathe on the dock lounge chairs, bring your own boat or rent a pontoon close by! For recreating on the lake: the house has 2 stand-up paddle boards and a tandem kayak. Some PFDs are provided. For your info: North Carolina requires anyone younger than 13 to wear an appropriate life vest when on a recreational vessel that is underway.

Bedroom 2: Queen Size Bed and a Twin Sized Bed with an Ensuite Bathroom with shower and bathtub.
Loft Area in the middle: Kid’s Play Area with mini cornhole boards and a teepee tent
Bedroom 3: Queen Size Bed and Twin Sized Bed with an Ensuite Bathroom with stand up shower.
Lower Level
Open area to enjoy the Smart TV with family while spread out on the couch (pull out queen bed), there’s a table that has a scrabble board you can use to challenge your friends, or play a round on the air hockey table!
Two Bunk Beds (4 Twin Beds)
Bedroom 4: King Size Bed with an ensuite bathroom (double vanity, tub/shower combo).
From this level, you can access the outside to the wood burning firepit and hot tub (with a built in bluetooth speaker!) as well as a path that leads right to the lake and dock! Boat ramp just 10 minutes away!
There are 2 Stand Up Paddleboards and 1 Tandem Kayak for guest use.
Guests also have access to the Community Clubhouse with a POOL (Open from May to the end of September) and a FIRE PIT!

The Peninsula is a gated community on Lake James. The pool (Open from May to Sept 30th), clubhouse and community fire pit are on the left after you pass through the gate. There is parking located beside the pool. The public beach (Lake James Beach) is 15 minutes away!
You will need a vehicle to get around. The driveway is steep and could be slippery in rare icy or snowy conditions.

Based off North Carolina Commission Laws, we are required to send you a rental agreement after booking with us and proof of ID needed for verification purposes.
No Pets Allowed. The Rental does not include the use of our boat and/or jet ski, but the dock has an available slip for a rental boat or boat owned by a guest.
23 Quiet Cove Rules:
-NO people beyond the number allowed at ANY TIME.
-NO HOUSE PARTIES OR EVENTS ALLOWED.
-NO smoking or vaping of ANY kind.
-No Pets
-QUIET HOURS: 10 P.M. - 8 A.M.
-You must follow The Peninsula of Lake James Community Expectations including noise, parking and common area use.
Failure to comply with any rule listed here means an automatic $300 minimum charge to your credit card for cleaning ($1,000 for a house party, see below). If a fine is issued to the homeowner via the HOA due to non-compliance of the rules, you will be charged for any and all non-compliance fines.
If you break the rules and do not comply after the first request by Bright Host, you will be asked to leave the property and you will forfeit the remaining balance of your stay.
Parties: NO HOUSE PARTIES or Events of any type are ALLOWED. If there is a party/event in this house (as evidenced by a noise complaint, excessive cars parked, and/or calling of police/security or by large amounts of trash and destruction) you WILL BE CHARGED for complete clean-up and replacement for damaged items. This will be AT A MINIMUM $1,000. A party completely voids the damage waiver. If you intend to come and party, rent somewhere else. Bright Host is SERIOUS about protecting our properties so they will be perfect for our owners and responsible guests.
Parking: Parking is limited at your specific property. The driveway can fit up to 6 cars. Do not exceed the maximum cars allowed. There is no on-street parking, parking on the grass or parking at the pool (unless using the pool).
Peninsula of Lake James Community Expectations:
-Pool parking is for pool attendees. It is not an overflow parking area for residents or renters.
-Please remove all personal items (floats, toys, towels, etc) from the pool area as you exit it.
-Swim Diapers must be worn by babies and toddlers who are not yet potty trained.
-Dogs & cats must remain within the lot boundary lines unless they are leashed.
-Street parking and parking partially on the grass is prohibited as water lines are compromised.
-Camping in any form is prohibited (tents, RV’s, cartop tents, etc).
-Please do not leave fires unattended. Our area is known for weather conditions conducive to brush and forest fires. If you build a fire in a fire pit, please extinguish it when you are done.
-Target practice and/or the discharging of firearms is prohibited.
-No dirt bikes are permitted to be ridden in PLJ. All vehicles and motorcycles must be driven on the private
roads within PLJ and must have valid license plates.
-Quiet hours are 10:00pm -8:00am.
