Set atop a gorgeous mountain on 2.5 private acres, you'll use this incredible home as a base camp for all of your Bryson City and Nantahala Gorge adventures. Or, you might just find that the peacefulness you discover here means you won't leave at all.
This spacious 1700 square foot newly constructed home offers an oversized master suite with private bath, as well as two additional queen bedrooms that share a second bath. There's also a spacious and fully equipped kitchen, living room with plenty of room to stay and play with family and friends in front of the fire, an expansive covered back porch with outside dining and two fire pits, a laundry room with washer and dryer provided, and plenty of easy parking for up to four cars.
The Berghaus is located in the upscale Fontana View Estates, which is a gated community. To enter the gate during the day, just get close to the gate for it to open. After 9pm, you'll need a code to unlock it. Follow the scenic road beyond the gate until you reach The Berghaus, and then you'll let yourself in with a door code. You'll love the beauty, safety, and peacefulness of this beautiful community.
If you have not driven in snow before, this may not be the place for you in the winter!! The drive is 1.5 miles up a paved mountain road after entering the private gate. During snow, it's plowed and salted but some areas may freeze. Please be aware of your driving skills and vehicle. Refunds are not offered due to this, but we will do our best to rebook you in the same season when we have availability.
