Welcome to our mountain homestead! The Pearl on the Farm is a 1951 Spartan Imperial Mansion that we have lovingly restored into a perfectly quirky mid-century modern holiday rental. GLAMPING AT IT'S BEST!!!
Our little family lives in the historic farmhouse on the property nestled in the mountains of Madison County, NC. We have a flower garden, a large vegetable garden, with chickens, honey bees and more! It's a beautiful place just 20 minutes from Asheville and 30 minutes from Hot Springs.
Mars Hill is a small community nestled in the Appalachian Mountains of Western North Carolina. We are conveniently located 20 minutes from Asheville, 10 minutes form Marshall and 30 minutes from Hot Springs. This area is renowned for it's natural beauty, it's incredible hiking and cycling, fishing, rafting, camping, and overall beauty.
Wolf Laurel Ski Lodge is only about 20 minutes from here and offers great skiing and snowboarding, as well as snow tubing, in the summer months, there is some great hiking in that area.
Just on the other side of the mountain, no more than 10 minutes away is the brand new Bailey Mountain Bike Park, which opened in 2015. This is the largest downhill mountain bike park in the US and is the only one that offers night riding! It is a beautiful facility with shuttle services and lots of amazing trails, for the adventurer in you, this is an amazing place to go.
If you are looking for something a little more low key, then we would suggest spending an hour or two at Hot Springs Resort and Spa. There you can get a massage or any other spa treatment, but the winner is for sure a soak in their outdoor natural hot spring tubs. They are private, situated right on the river, and are filled with water that comes from deep in the ground. Its is warm and soothing and you will feel incredibly relaxed afterwards. It is a great way to end a day exploring Max Patch, and incredible bald about 35 minutes from Hot Springs. There you can picnic with a 360 degree view of the mountains. It is truly breathtaking.
