Located about half-way between Knoxville and Chattanooga, our home is a convenient launching point to explore numerous Southern attractions. Within minutes you can be boating and fishing, hiking, moonshine tasting and sampling authentic Southern Comfort cuisine. (We will have numerous suggestions for you!) The Appalachian and Smokey Mountains provide magnificent vistas, or venture closer to back-pack and hike their storied trails.
Our property is located on the famous Watts Bar Lake and boasts nearly an acre of level manicured lawn with comfortable stairs leading to the water and our private dock. The water is shallow enough for swimming but deep enough to accommodate almost any type of boat during most of the year. For those who do not wish to venture down to the lake, enjoy your morning coffee or an afternoon cocktail on a large deck overlooking a beautiful vista.
Watts Barr Lake offers endless opportunities for boating, fishing, kayaking, paddle-boarding and other water sports. Your own boat can be launched at numerous marinas within just a few miles and kept at our large and sturdy dock during your stay you can have slip #1, or you can rent a boat from a local resort. We provide 2 kayaks and various water toys. And there’s plenty of room to park your boat trailer on our huge concrete driveway. Please inform me with any water craft you would be bringing.

Our home is located in a quiet neighborhood on a paved, 2-block-long street. We are a short 5 minute drive to Spring City on Highway 27. There you will find groceries, a Post Office, hardware store and pharmacy. We are only 20 miles from Dayton, the County Seat of Rhea County, where the famous Scopes “Monkey” Trial is reenacted every year in the historic courthouse where the trial was originally held. Small towns in the area offer a variety of activities: antiquing, hiking, water park & museums.
