Summary: Full Circle Farmhouse was a lovely place for the respite that we needed. It is very secluded and a good distance away from the hustle and bustle, which was exactly what we were looking for. We did venture out to Blairsville, a 45 minute drive. We found an Ingle’s to pick up a few items and a wonderful Coffee Shop for a ‘to go’ cup of coffee and “mini” sandwich to tied us over until dinner. Because of the distance to stores, we went well prepared with all of our grocery needs, including frozen and fresh food items to hunker down in the Farmhouse. We were disappointed in the volume of the owners personal food store items left in the refrigerator, freezer and pantry. Although it is a most generous gesture to “share” their personal food stores, it was an inconvenience to us and a bit awkward to have to relocate their items in order to fit ours into the spaces. There were a lot of partially opened packages and half filled containers that made us feel like we were moving a stranger’s personal goods. We were also rather “stuffed” in those spaces in order to accommodate the shared space for our items, as well as theirs. We also weren’t able to unpack our bags of dry goods, because the pantry was also very filled with their own staple items. We found the daily dishes to be clean (plates and coffee mugs) but the silverware, cooking utensils and the pots/pans were not very clean. We had to wash them before use. The cooking supplies were of excellent quality, but unfortunately were put away sticky and/or dirty. I don’t know if that was the result of prior guests or the regularity of owner’s usage. The bedding and towel linens were all very clean, as was the rest of the residence. The home is decorated lovely and comfortable. We again, found ourselves feeling a bit awkward to be “taking” a stranger’s home…not as a guest, since they were not present, but more like, we “snuck” into their home and were using their place while they were away. They have all of their own personal pictures, cleaning supplies, etc. left in the home, as well as a functioning vegetable/fruit garden.. Cameras also may be a necessity for keeping their investment safe, but the one on the back porch did not allow privacy for TV & fireplace usage. We felt like we were being spied on while we lounged in the evening in our pj’s roasting s’mores. Overall, it was a beautiful place and we truly enjoyed our time, but these were some things that did cause us discomfort.
