This home has been completely remodeled and decorated for an upscale hideaway, perfect for a small family vacation, or a couples' retreat, and ideal for some quiet time in a serene setting.
The open floor plan includes a great room with large sliding doors leading to the private decks overlooking the lake. The interior of the home features tongue and groove wood ceilings and new plank flooring, a fully-equipped kitchen with new appliances, cabinetry and quartz countertops. The well-stocked kitchen has everything provided to make a family meal. There's a Duo Keurig/drip coffee maker for enjoying your morning coffee, plus plenty of barware perfect for making lakeside sunset cocktails.
The wraparound multilevel deck offers plenty of seating and shade and will be the centerpiece for your vacation memories. Enjoy coffee in the mornings on the back deck, watching the birds and lake come to life each day; take your meals outdoors with a gas grill for cooking, or toast marshmallows around the firepit. Enjoy kayaking, jet skiing, boating, fishing, or swimming in the shallow waters surrounding the dock- all just steps from your cottage doors. Bring your small boat, jet ski, kayak, or paddleboard to take full advantage of all lake life has to offer. There is one manual jet ski/small boat lift on the outside dock available for guest use, or tie up to the dock. Just across the cove, at Twin Bridges Landing, is a marina with a bait shop and boat launch, and there are boat and jet ski rental companies 10 minutes away at Twin Lakes or Sinclair Marina.
The home sleeps up to 6 people comfortably, with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, plus an open loft sleeping area. The main level bedrooms are furnished with a King size bed in the first, and the second has 2 Twin beds. The main level bedrooms share a hall bathroom that has a shower/tub. The laundry closet is also located on this floor. The loft area upstairs has a King size bed and beautiful views of the lake from the A-frame windows. The full bathroom in the loft area features a walk-in shower (no tub). There are 3 TVs enabled for streaming, plus secure high-speed wireless internet.
Bear Creek is located in a quiet wooded cove on the Northwest side of Lake Sinclair, in Eatonton, GA, just west of US Hwy 441. The cottage is conveniently located for groceries and household supplies, carry-out and dining options, plus many other services and retailers are within a 10-15 minute drive. Downtown Milledgeville or Eatonton, Georgia College and State University (GCSU), and the Andalusia Farm Museum - Home of Author Flannery O'Connor are less than a 30 minutes away. Lake Sinclair is centrally located and an easy drive from Savannah, Macon, Dublin, Atlanta, Augusta, and Athens, GA.

The water surrounding the dock is approximately 3 to 4 feet in depth (no diving). The dock can accommodate a boat approx. 20 feet in length. There are multiple cleats to tie up to the dock and also a manual jet ski/kayak lift available for guest use.
Guests will need to put in boats at the Twin Bridges Landing marina; there is no boat ramp at the home. The low bridge between the Twin Bridges and the cottage has a low clearance of 5-7 feet above the water, depending on lake water levels. Taller boats with fixed tops may not fit under the bridge. Take precautions if traveling by boat to access the cove.
The gravel driveway to the house is narrow and tree-lined. Guests that are towing boats may want to walk the drive first to confirm best way to get in and out. There is a tight circular portion of drive, and longer vehicles with a boat attached may not be able to turn around at house, so backing in from the road is typically the best option.
