Fully equipped apartment in the separate basement of an historic bungalow in Inman Park, Atlanta. Super safe. Queen sized bed in bedroom with en-suite bathroom. Living room with sofa and TV. Kitchen with stove and oven.
No dishwasher. Washer and dryer in the kitchen - small loads only. Basically a perfect space to stay for a short time!

• When requesting to book please tell me a little about yourself, the purpose of your stay, and the "booking phrase." I offer one free parking space as park of your reservation.

• The Queen-sized bed in your bedroom can comfortably accommodate two guests.

• The TV in the living room offers Netflix. You can sign into other apps with your subscriptions. The TV in the bedroom was left by a past guest and is a screen for you to hook up your laptop (bring your own HDMI cable).

• Fresh sheets and comfortable pillows are provided. Extra blankets are also available in the red closet.

• Large bath and hand towels are provided.

• The private en-suite bathroom is stocked with everything you might need, including: q-tips, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, soap, and more.

• The living room has a sofa and a TV. No Cable, just streaming.

• The full-sized fridge is reserved exclusively for your use; so feel free to pick up some yogurt or milk if you want some cold snacks.

• The washer and dryer is located in the kitchen.

• The entire home is smoke free and you'll find a list of "Fun Things to Do in the Area," plus check-out instructions in your Welcome Packet when you arrive. I accept pets for a pet fee per stay. Cats and dogs welcome. I have a fenced backyard you may enjoy.

• You're only two streets from the Inman Park MARTA Station (the inter-city transit train & bus system) so going anywhere in Atlanta in a breeze!

• There are over a dozen restaurants & coffee shops within walking distance as well as a small grocery store nearby for all your food and drink needs.

The guest has access to the backyard. It is fenced and you can let your dog out without a leash. Do check the backyard for safety (other dogs, fences are closed, etc). Do not leave the dog unattended. No on-going barking allowed inside or outside. Please read on for pet fees.
Be aware that the upstairs guest at the time my have a dog as well. Just ask what the upstairs situation after you check-in so you know who else may be using the backyard.

• If you need a lift to or from the MARTA Station (free), Amtrak Station ($15), or the ATL Airport ($25), it would be my pleasure. Just give me a few days notice so I can plan accordingly.

• If you are planning to visit the “World of Coca-Cola” in Downtown Atlanta, I can offer you discounted tickets ($10 for adults). Just ask!

• Inman Park was Atlanta's first planned suburb in 1890. Today it is known as Atlanta's "small town downtown" with beautiful Victorian and Bungalow style homes situated next to numerous parks and ponds scattered throughout the neighborhood. It is an upscale neighborhood that is consistently rated as one of the safest in Atlanta.

You can easily keep yourself busy for a few days without a car. The Atlanta BeltLine (a wide pedestrian and cyclist pathway that connects major neighborhoods in Atlanta) provides easy access to Midtown & Piedmont Park which hosts numerous food, art, & music festivals throughout the year.

The hip "Krog Street Market" (0.5mi away) and "Inman Quarter" (0.7mi away) offer a myriad of close-by restaurant choices including:

• Despite the steady flow of visitors to the neighborhood, crime is historically low as it is is well-patrolled by both uniformed Atlanta Police Officers and the Inman Park Security Patrol (off-duty Officers).

• Also... you are are a mere 15 minute walk away from the world famous "King of Pops" world headquarters. They serve popsicles with unique flavors like Chocolate Sea Salt, Thai Tea, Banana Puddin', and Mango Habanero. It's worth a visit to Inman Park just for a pop!

• The closest Train/Bus station is "MARTA Inman Park/Reynoldstown." It's very close; only two streets away (about a 5 minute walk). If you're coming from the Airport it's located on the East/West line; just transfer at "Five Points" and head East (fares cost $2.50). It takes ~45 minutes to travel from the Airport to the house via MARTA (Uber & Lyft take about 25 minutes).

• You can visit the “Atlanta Bicycle Barn” for all-day rentals priced at $20. They even have pedal-assisted electric bicycles for $30!

• The closest Airport is "Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport" (ATL).

• Remember, this is a basement apartment with seven foot ceilings and some air ducts that hang in the six foot range. There is no dishwasher. The host controls the apartment temperature. The basement is usually ~65 to ~70 F (18 to 21 C) which is COLD for some people. We provide many blankets and comforters. You WILL hear footsteps from above as your space is not a top floor apartment. Include the phrase "Fickle Pickle" in your request to show us you accept these quirks about our basement.

• Third party bookings are not allowed by Airbnb's Terms of Service. Please refer your family member or employee instead — they'll save $25 on their booking. It's a win-win.

• This is pet friendly so you will see dog hair! We vacuum and clean between each stay but it is hard to get all the hair. Pet fees listed in detailed house rules.

• We mostly host solo travelers but couples are fine too. If you want to have a friend come visit, make sure you include that person on the reservation. The first 2 residents are no charge. There is a fee for a 3rd and 4th visitor and I do prefer to keep it as 1 or 2 people only.

• Finally, the Airbnb deposit is used for Amazon Fire TV movie rentals, or if something is damaged or missing. The deposit could also be used for extra cleaning services depending on the condition in which you leave the apartment. If you have any other questions, just ask! Our response time is usually within a few minutes.
• Read the entire listing to discover the ways in which our home is not comparable to a hotel. Make sure to include the booking phrase hidden somewhere on the listing's description.
• Only small loads of laundry can be run. It is a small machine. Fill up the drum HALFWAY ONLY. SMALL LOADS. Large loads break the machine.
• The pet fee is per stay to cover extra cleaning. Please do not book if you have pet allergies to cats or dogs.

• With that being said, only guests listed on the reservation are allowed on the property due to liability concerns. No visitors. We know this sounds strict but it's an important topic and we do enforce it. Want to have a guest? Add him or her to the reservation or meet with them at Dekalb Athletic Club (our local neighborhood coffeehouse)!
• Finally, this listing is fully legal under the City of Atlanta Ordinances. In accordance with that Ordinance, a short-term lease must be signed for the duration of your stay in our two-family household. We will take care of the quick paperwork upon arrival so don't worry!
