Brand new 30ft diameter (700sq ft), 15 foot celiling height geodesic dome with a huge panoramic window overlooking the 20 acres of forested area. The geodome is located on the first of the twenty acres. The acreage goes behind and to the side. There is a gazebo with 2-3 person hot tub. Specifically built for 2 ADULTS age 21 and over, sorry NO children or pets******
Glamping on steroids. Always loved the idea of camping but didn't want to actually lie on the ground in the mud? We have you covered. Enjoy staying in this plush dome with a king size pillowtop mattress, full kitchen and spa type bathroom. Watch out the huge panoramic window at the wildlife; tons of bunnies, birds, chipmunks, birds, deer, and turkeys can occasionally be seen on the property and surrounding area.
The main bedroom area overlooks the enormous clear viewing window out into the woods. The king size, pillowtop mattress has soft linens and two types of king size pillows depending on if you prefer firm or squishy :).
Extra blankets are available for colder evenings. Sit in the wicker chairs while looking out the panoramic window watching the cute chipmunks skamper around. A bird feeder is situated right outside the window for those birdlovers. A open concept closet with hangers can hold all your belongings. A suitcase stand is right next to it. The boho curtains block off the entrance to the bathroom. There is no door persay however the curtains are doubled up for complete privacy. So no worries there.
The two bedroom nightstands have glass touch lamps with 2 built in usb charge ports. Relax in the king size bed while watching a beautiful star/ light show on the dome celiling with a small light projector located on the nightstand.
The dome minisplit is located directly above the bed to provide cool nights in the summer and warm nights in the winter. A floor fan is also provided.
The full size spacious bathroom has a 60 inch shower with glass door and a 48 inch vanity. Plenty of plush towels/ hand towels/ washcloths/ makeup remover towels. Two gray soft robes are included along with hot tub towels. Makeup remover wipes, shower poufs, shower steamer, hair drying towels, and a variety of face mask products are all at your use. Hand soap, tissues, toilet paper, q-tips, gel masks, and makeup remover rounds are also provided. Shampoo and body wash are NOT provided.
The large modern kitchen has plenty of amenities to cook up a delicious meal. Has a full size refrigerator, oven/stove, microwave, and 32 inch black deep sink. Want to have a romantic night in? We provide a blender, margarita glasses, shot glasses, wine glasses, mix drink utensils, mix drink booklet, Moscow mule mugs, iced drink glasses in the freezer. Bring some meat, cheese, and chocolate and use the fondue set located in the kitchen lazy susan. Complete set of stainless steel pots and pans, dishes, glasses, silverware, mixing bowls, pizza cutter, measuring spoons, mixer, cheese grater, cookie sheets, muffin pan, tupperware, popcorn bowls, outdoor cups and plates, hand soap, dish soap, sponge and papertowels all available for use. Please note there is no dishwasher. Dishes must be washed prior to departure.
A Keurig with specialty coffee/ hot chocolate/ and tea k-cups are always stocked up. Want to go on an early morning hike but want to bring your coffee? We include to go cups with lids as well as creamer, sugar, and stir sticks. A tea pot is at your disposal if you prefer flavorful tea packets.
Wake up and enjoy your morning coffee/ tea on the outside cozy deck while sitting on the wicker type chairs with built in table. A seven foot umbrella is there if needed. The 2-3 person hottub is just down the deck steps on its own deck with a 12x12 gazebo with privacy and mosquito curtains. Outdoor lights are provided for a nice ambiance while soaking your stresses away.
Down a short path is another clearing with a fire pit complete with Adirondack chairs, table with umbrella, and a covered swing. Lighters and fire pit roaster sticks located in the kitchen pantry. Firewood is not provided. You are welcome to use any of the fallen branches. There are gass stations on the way to the dome where you can buy firewood bundles. Explore the other 2 short trails branching out from there meandering through the untamed forest. Feel like a kid again while swinging in the woods with the built in swing on two trees. Found on one of the trails. Or try out some outdoor games. Found under the coffee/ mixed drink cart.
There is a futon with adjustable back and sides located next to the 55 inch Smart TV with Neflix streaming service. A DVD player is provided along with many DVD movies. The entertainment center has many types of board games (including specific games for couples) and puzzles for those rainy days/ nights in.
* Please note that the wifi is not spectacular.
Being set in the middle of the woods makes it extremely difficult to get great reception.
A glass 40 inch kitchen table is perfect for those nights you want to stay in and cook. It overlooks the panoramic window.
Very close to the Wayne National Forest, the largest atv trail system in ohio, 145 miles of trails. Bring your atv to ride in the forest. Not on the property please. 3 day pass for $20. There is no hunting allowed on the property.
20 minutes away from Lake Logan where you can rent a pontoon boat. Also 20 minutes to Rockbridge, and many other hiking trails, and Logan where you can find a Walmart, Krogers, and several food places including the Hungry Buffalo, Axe throwing, Millcreek BBQ, Pizza Crossing, and the Hocking Hills winery. There are also many nearby places to canoe, zipline, and participate in other outdoor activities. 30 to 35 minutes to Old Man's Cave, Conkles Hollow, Rock House, Devils Bathtub, Cedar Falls, Cantwell Clifs, and Ash Cave.
