Steam rises from the hot tub against the air, and evenings naturally slow down under a sky full of stars. Sweet Pea Cottage is an entire home tucked into a wooded setting near Front Royal, offering a cozy retreat well suited for families, couples, or a small group of friends. The pace here is unhurried, with space to reconnect indoors and outdoors.
Sleeping arrangements
The cottage has two bedrooms designed to comfortably sleep up to four guests. One bedroom features a queen bed, while the second includes a set of bunk beds. Bed linens and extra pillows and blankets are provided, making it easy to stay comfortable during chilly nights. A large loft area offers additional space to relax, read, or spend time together, though it is intended for hanging out rather than sleeping.
Living spaces
The main living areas are simple and welcoming, with radiant heating to keep the space comfortable. A Smart TV and fast WiFi support quiet evenings indoors, whether you’re streaming a favorite show or catching up on work at the dedicated workspace located in a separate room with a door. The sunroom, lined with large windows, looks directly into the surrounding woods and is an inviting place to sip coffee or watch snowfall drift through the trees.
Kitchen and dining
A full kitchen allows you to prepare meals at your own pace, whether that’s a hearty breakfast before heading out or a relaxed dinner after a day of exploring. The dining area keeps everyone connected, making shared meals part of the experience rather than a rush between plans.

Breweries and wineries are within a short drive as well, offering relaxed outings year-round.

We have an indoor fireplace, but unfortunately it's not usable and is only decorative.
The previous owners smoked, and there's a very slight smoke smell in the house. Most guests don't notice, but if you're very sensitive to it this may not be the place for you.
Our cleaning team sweeps the deck, stairs, and walkways before each arrival, but due to the natural setting, you may still notice some leaves, pollen, or similar—especially during certain seasons. We appreciate your understanding as nature tends to leave its mark, no matter how often we tidy up!
Pet Policy
We’re happy to welcome dogs to join you on your getaway! Please note that due to allergies, we’re unable to accommodate cats. A $29 pet fee applies per furry friend, per night to help cover additional cleaning and care. Thanks for understanding—we look forward to hosting you and your pup!
Longer Stays
For stays of 14 nights or longer, guests will be asked to e-sign a rental agreement prior to arrival. This agreement helps us comply with local requirements while protecting the property, and will be sent in advance for review.
